  • While Reiki taps into spiritual energy, it's not tied to any religion. Practitioners aren't urged to alter their beliefs; they're free to follow their spiritual path and decide what feels right for them. Empowerment to choose and honor personal beliefs is encouraged in Reiki.

  • During a typical treatment, Reiki energy flows from the practitioner's hands to the client, who can be lying down, seated, or even standing. Clients stay fully clothed, while the practitioner places hands on or near various body areas for 3 to 10 minutes each, tailoring positions to the client's needs. A session usually runs 45 to 90 minutes.

  • Typically, after a Reiki treatment, most people feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Occasionally, some might experience a "healing crisis." As the body's vibration rises, stored toxins are released, potentially causing temporary discomfort like headaches or feeling weak. Drinking more water, having lighter meals, and getting extra rest can help. It's a positive indication that the body is purifying as part of the healing journey.

  • Reiki is remarkably easy to grasp and doesn't require prior healing or meditation experience. Over a million people, regardless of age or background, have successfully learned it. Unlike conventional teaching methods, Reiki is transferred from teacher to student through an attunement during class. Once attuned, the ability to practice Reiki is instantly accessible—placing hands with the intention initiates the healing flow effortlessly.

  • A Reiki attunement grants the ability to administer treatments and is conducted by the Reiki Master in class. The process involves gentle touches on the head, shoulders, and hands, along with special breathing techniques. Attunement energies, directed by the Higher Power, flow from the Master to the student, adjusting energy pathways and linking to the Reiki source. As it's guided by this Higher Power, the attunement tailors itself to each individual. Some may sense warmth or see colors, while others experience visions. Yet, inner experiences aren't necessary for its effectiveness—most commonly, individuals feel deeply relaxed.
